CLOSER TO CHRIST.

WEEK 73- MONDAY OCTOBER 3 2016

안녕하세요!!~~
저는 태너 자매선교사 입니다!~ 이번주 아주 빨리 갔어요!!ㅠㅠ 시간 너무 빨라요..

Rainy season is upon us.

HELLO!! This week also went by so fast and we saw so many miracles.!~ Ever since the transfer started we have been focussing on trying to find new investigators to teach. It has been a little difficult these past couple weeks and we are training Sister Haddock so we haven't had a lot of opportunities to teach lessons. But we saw so many miracles this week and were able to find 3 new investigators!

The Suncheon Sisters texted us a number and said that someone called them and said that she lived in Cheonan and wanted to learn English. So they gave us her number and we called her and set an appointment to meet. We met her and she was the sweetest girl ever. She is 26 and is a kindergarten teacher. She was saying that she doesn't have a religion but has been to church with people from her work before and she has been thinking about finding a church to go to. We were able to talk to her a little bit more about our church and what we do as missionaries. She said that she was wanting to go to Canada sometime next year to live and work and said that she knows that our church is all over the world so if she was to become a member she could go to Canada and have somewhere to rely on and feel welcomed. That is something that is so great about this church. No matter where you are in the world there is always somewhere to go and feel welcomed and feel like home. We are planning on meeting her this week as well and we are praying for her to come to know that this message is true.

Lesson over Skype~ This was a really cool experience. The Elders in an area in our zone called us and said that a woman had called them and wanted to learn English but because they have no Sister Missionaries in that area, that they wanted to try out Skype. So we set up a time that worked and we skype this lady. She was sooo cute! She thought it was so fun to talk to foreigners over skype in English and she was willing to listen to our message as well. It was a little awkward at first because we have never really had to teach a lesson through a computer before. But it was a really memorable experience. I felt the spirit so strong when we were testifying about this gospel and about prayer. She was so nice and really was interested in what we were saying. She asked questions and was just so happy and grateful we took the time to talk to her! She's not in our area but no matter where you are there are prepared people out there looking for the truth.

AHHHH!!!

I still love bacon.

RITA!!! yes. I don't know if you remember the cute Chinese woman we met a few months ago and she has the cutest little american looking baby. We met her in july and she left to china for 2 months. That week we met her, we met her like everyday and spent so much time with her. We took her to the church and showed her everything there and talked about baptism. She said that everytime she goes to our church she feels happy and peaceful. She told us that she wanted to come to church but because she was leaving for China she didn't want to just show up and than disappear for a few months. So for those two months she was gone, I was praying so hard that we would be able to meet her when she got back! I had the strongest feeling that she was ready! This church was something she needed. She is from China so Church is a new thing to her, but is so happy whenever she sees us. So one day I was looking at my calender and I saw that she should be home about now. I gave her call and she answered and said that she could meet next week!! I was sooo happy to hear that. Then that night we went to a Dance Festival to go Proselyting and I look in the corner of my eye and see a lady with short red hair holding a baby... IT WAS RITA!!! Such a huge miracle. I ran over to her and gave her the biggest hug!! she was just smiliing and hugging me and jumping up and down. haha. We spent the whole night with her and her son, Orion. We are going to meet her this week too and she said that she wants to come to church this Sunday! We are so happy we got to meet her again and praying even harder that we can start the lessons with her and prepare her for baptism! I know that Heavenly Father has a plan.. and according to his timing and Will it will all work out the way that it is suppose too!

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart."

I wanted to share something that I found in my personal study this morning..

"The closer you bring others to Christ, the closer you get to Christ yourself." I know this to be true. As we constantly find ways to help and bring others closer to Christ, we too will be closer to our Savior. We will be able to overcome the hard things in life and rely on Him easier because we have that close relationship with Him. Missionary or not a missionary we have the power to bring others to Christ every day! I love my mission and the opportunity to share this gospel! It's true and has changed my life. Love you all and thank you for all that you have done for me as I have been on my mission!~ I hope you have a great week and recognize the everyday miracles!
